First up my friend asked me to make some boy birthday cards so I got out Beyond The Universe for this one, colored with copics and the design paper is from My Minds Eye, I added some Glossy Accents to the window of the space ship.

Next I am using Fairy Dust is a Must-my grand daughter will love this card. I colored her with copics and the design paper is from Basic Grey. My plan was to add some stickles to her wings but I grabbed the wrong bottle so her wings have liquid pearls on them.

Well it's almost the end of the month but I finally got my SFYTT for Jan. done. This was a really fun sketch to play with. My C plate for my cuttlebug broke into 4 pieces and do you think I could find any in our local store? NO! This morning I got my packaging tape out and taped it back together and it worked, for now! Our Craft Lounge #96 ~ Gifts

Hello there, it's time for a new challenge at Our Craft Lounge-I know, I know posting it a day late, totally forgot about it with the New RElease and all, did you see the New Release Sets? All I can say is WOW! This week we would like to see "gifts". Now you don't have to OCL stamps but if you have them we would love to see you use them.

My first project is a triangle treat box, I saw this over and on Splitcoast and had to try one. You can find the directions to make this cute box HERE. The little flowers are from the set "Notes of Love" and the sentiment is from "Sending Love" I colored with copics and the paper is from The Paper Studios.

Next I made this candle, this was a first attempt for me at making one of these, I have seen so many cute ones over the years on Splitcoast and various blogs I wanted to try one. I wanted to keep it simple being my first one and all so I am using 2 of the hearts from the set "Love Notes".
I can't wait to see what kind of gift idea you have floating around in your head. This is for the challenge over at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog-gifts/packaging, and Really Reasonable Ribbon-Anything goes.

Today is new release day at Bug-A-Boo stamps, isn't she just Fab? Perfect for Mother's day or any other day because sholdn't everyday be Mother's day! Morning all, can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? I can't! This weeks challenge at Catch-The-Bug is "Talk Turkey". I am using "Turkey Give Thanks" from Bug-A-Boo stamps.

I colored him up with copics and the papers are from my scrap bin! Now you don't have to use a Bug-A-Boo image unless you want to win first place! We would love it if you did though.

1st place- 7 digis, 2nd-4 digis and 3rd- 2 digis. This is for the sketch challenge at Outlawz this week and Paper Sundaes-use a digi.

T.G.I.F. I don't usually feel that way but this week has been LONG! It's time for a new challenge at Our Craft Lounge. This week we want you to make a "thankful card". What do you think of my card? Totally different style for me and I am not sure if I like it! Morning friends, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet 'N Sasssy Dig Challenges. This week we would like you to use a Bird or Bird Element on your cards. Cardinals are my favorite birds and I have 3 or 4 sets that visit my feeder so when I saw this image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps I knew I had to use it for this challenge, you can find it here. Tutorial Wednesday....

It's my turn at Catch-The-Bug to show you a tutorial.. Now, I saw this technique a month or so ago someplace, I thought I book marked the site but for the life of me can't find it. I have never tried this before.... Yep, first time out of the gate I am make a tutorial so fingers crossed all goes well... I am going to show you how to make your own designer paper...

What you will need... A brayer, rubber bands, Versamark, embossing powder, heat gun and a piece of cardstock. You will notice a dryer sheet in the photo, I don't own one of the little bag things that you rub over your cardstock so that your embossing powder doesn't stick to it-you know what I am talking about! I thought a dryer sheet might do the same thing; you know-get rid of static. DO NOT DO THIS! It made it worse.
First put you rubber bands on your brayer like so-note to self... next time buy smaller rubber bands. Ink up your brayer-very important to just go in one direction when do in this, not back and forth, if you go back and forth you will move the rubber bands. Now Ink up your cardstock with the brayer- I had to do this twice. Add your embossing powder and heat dry.
This is what it looks like. After it completely drys do again with your next color.
I used red! Assemble your card.
This is what it looks like! Easy peasy. I am using these sweet little penguins found here at Bug-A-Boo Stamps. I can't wait to see what you make, if you use this tutorial leave me a comment with a link to you card so I can see it. I made this for the Forever Friends Challenge-Christmas is Coming.

Morning, and Yes.... Another Valentine's Day card! What can I say-my favorite card making holiday and fast approaching. I used a cute Penny Black Stamp and this paper is from BoBunny. I used one of my favorite techniques-pencils and oms. I made this for November's challenge at I {heart} to stamp. I also made it for the Make it Monday Challenge , Penny Black and More challenge ,and Friends of Speedy the Cat.

Our Craft Lounge-Once upon a time!

Happy Monday Morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend, we were busy around here. Hubby and I got most of our Christmas Shopping done for the grandkids, he took care of getting all the leaves off the lawn and then we just watched football yesterday-Go Pats! This weeks challenge at Our Craft Lounge is to make a card using a Fairy Tale or Fable as your inspiration. Well, I got this cute set in the mail last week and it was perfect for "Frosty the Snowman" which was one of my favorite stories as a kid so I just had to ink it up! The set is called "Be Jolly", I colored with prismas pencils and copics, the paper is from The Paper Studios. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and made this clean and simple for the CAS challenge over at Outlawz using some of my favorite designer paper.. It is also for the challenge at Craft Your Passion-snow.

Pocket Card

Morning peeps, it is 5:15 AM on Sat. morning and I am up making a post on my blog-WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???? I hate it when I can't sleep, what a LONG night it was. The challenge at Catch -The-Bug this week is "pocket". I made a pocket card using crazy old "Gus". I know, I know, you are probably getting sick of "Gus" and I do apologize but we have a lot of friends who are turning 50 lately and "Gus" is just to perfect for the occasion! I colored "Gus" with copics, added some glossy accents to his glasses and the paper is from my scrap bin. This is for the challenge at Paper Sundaes-Rectangles and the Twisted Thursday Challenge over at Outlawz- Things we are thankful for. I am thankful for friends that are growing old right along with me.
