For the Bird{brains} blog hop at From The Heart Stamps

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. Our theme this month is “For the Bird{brains}”. Our designers are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects. As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store. Some Design Team members are also giving away the actual project they create for the hop, too. So, you may win an image and a card or project from some of the blogs! And additionally, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $15 gift voucher to the store! We are offering another really cool prize on the FTHS blog! Have you ever had a great idea for a Birdbrain image? Well, this is your chance! One lucky winner randomly selected from all the comments will be selected to work with Faith to design a Birdbrain image! And, we would like to invite all of you to be a part of our hop this month, with the DT! There is an inlinkz on the bottom of the post here at FTHS and on each individual blog. Use one of the designer’s tutorials and your favorite Birdbrain image to create a project to play along. We can’t wait to see what you create! If you are interested in guest designing for FTHS over the next few months, simply add GDT to your entry. We are looking for six people to guest design for two month rotations over the next 6 months. Hope you will print off your favorite Birdbrain and play along! If you have arrived from Michelle's blog, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.  For my tutorial I am going to make a Joy-fold card.

The supplies you need are: Base cardstock mine measures 5" x 9 and 3/4", scored at 3 and 5/8".  Top piece mine measures 3 and 3/4" x 9" scored at 4 and 1/2 inches.  Also your layers, and something to stop your card from opening.

First take you base pieces and assemble them.
Next layer you smaller pieces.
Next layer your inside sentiment.

Now adhere the back of your small layer to the bottom of your base.
Next line up where you want your catch, for mine I am keeping it simple and using just a turn mount.
Your finished card should look something like this, I wanted to keep it simple so this could be given to a man or woman.  For my card I used  Martini Chicks colored with copics and the paper is from my minds eye.  Don't forget to leave some love if you would like the chance to win an image from the FTHS store  and I will even send one of you the card too!
Now head over to the From The Heart Stamps Blog and leave some love there too!
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Sunday September 14th at 6am, EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday September 17th.

I've seen this technique and yet have not tried. What am I waiting for!!! This was the very first image I bought from FTHS and I even won in the Top 3. Still love this set and people have even told me they want a birthday card with the image. Never had people request their birthday card until now.
