Today's challenge over at Crafting with Deedee Digis was to make a card of encouragement for someone. I didn't have time to do this today getting ready for vacation and all but I needed to make a card for a dear sweet lady. My sister's MIL who is in her 80's had a stroke over the weekend, she is doing better but she has a fever that keeps spiking and they can not find the source, today she is going to the dentist to rule out a infection in her gums. Well Virgina, lives in an assisted living facility and loves to send cards, I am always sending her boxes of cards, for Mother's day she wrote my sister and said "All I want for Mother's day is Cards!" I was thinking wouldn't be great if I could send her a box of cards made by all my blog friends! At first I thought you could make get well, thinking of you cards but now I am thinking you could make any kind of card and sign it on a post-it note, so Virgina could send it to a friend. So I am Challenging all my blog friends out there to make a card for Virgina, It would be great if you could write a short note on the inside wishing her well etc. on a Post-it-note or scrap paper, this way she can give the card away to someone else, I will give her an envelope to use with each card. I will sweeten this up a bit for you and if I can get 20 friends to send a card I will put your name in a drawing for a $10 gift certificate to any online crafting store, your choice. for every 10 cards over 20 I will add $5 to that up to a max of $50. I will be away until July 1st. I would like to be able to mail these cards to her on July 5th so your card must be in my hands by July 3rd. Please leave me a comment that you are willing to help put a smile on Virgina's face and a way for me to get back to you or you can e-mail me at sserrano22 (at) live (dot) com and I will send you my address. I appreciate it and know that it will bless the socks off Virgina when she gets a box of cards/ well wishes in the mail. You will be blessing her and who ever she gives your card too!
