Blogger 3 Challenge 4

Did you ever have one of those days? I realized I needed to have this posted today and hadn't even made a card for this challenge.( we needed to make a card with 2 colors and a neutral, and we could only use 2 stamps, and use 2 embellishments) So I started and this card came together so quickly and I loved it! I was so excited to have hubby's Valentine done so early!! Then as I was getting ready to post it I realized 2 things... That I had 3 embellishments on it (one to many) and I would have to mail this to the winner of the challenge so I wouldn't be able to use it myself. So... I made another one!

This is the first one that I am NOT using for the challenge...

This is the one that I am entering in for the challenge... I took the brads off so the only 2 embellishments are the hearts and ribbon.. MY colors are red and black and the neutral is white. The stamps I used are the background stamp soft swirls and the "love" stamp.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a Happy and Safe New Year's Eve, it was quiet for us, we played dominoes till 11pm and then I went to bed to read, and didn't get to sleep due to all the fireworks in the neighborhood. I hope every one has a great 2009! This card is for today's Way to Use it Challenge, we had to use something silver on our card. I bought these heart charms while shopping one day... They just looked like something I might need someday and I was right!

To find out more and to get her address click here... I used one of my new stamps from High Hopes "Little Missy" and my new paper from "My Minds Eye" I just love the muted colors. I hope you have a great time tonight whatever it is you are doing... Be Safe!

Happy Birthday Ruth!!

This card is for My MIL's birthday on Dec.7th, we will actually be in Orlando with her on that day getting ready to make the trip back home to SC. She is staying with us until the 17th. We are going to take her to Myrtle Beach to see a Christmas show for her Birthday but since the whole family will be at breakfast on her actual day I thought we could give her a card then. The sentiment says "Count your blessings one petal at a time". I hope you are all having a good weekend.

Be Blessed!

Sorry...

It has been so long since I posted anything, just so busy with projects.... I am happy to say that I have just 2 more pages to do in Ava's first year scrapbook and 1 in her 2nd year and then I am caught up!! I also got all my Christmas cards made and most of them already addressed I will post a pic. of them after I know everyone has received them... today I made 2 more cards to add to the set of simple note cards for my mother-n-law. I think this makes 8 in the set, shooting for 20 but might have to settle for 10, time will tell... I hope all is well with you!

Happy Hump Day!

Finally getting on here with a project. I just have been so busy with "stuff". I did manage to get 40 Christmas cards almost completed this week and while I was holding ribbon up to snip it, yep... I SNIPPED my pinkie!!! OUCH! I didn't realize until just now how often you use your left pinkie when you type! This card is for today's sketch challenge, I found this DP in my scrap drawer and the other colors came from that and man o' man is it BRIGHT! I hope you are having a great week and getting all your Christmas projects done. I got some Christmas shopping done the other night and DD came home from school last night so we are going to do some more shopping today.
Have a blessed day!

Yummy hot chocolate on a cold cold day? This is for today's limited supplies challenge, we had to use chocolate in some way, paper, ribbon, image, we needed to be able to say what was chocolate about our card. I made this cute little cup of cocoa, the image is by Darcie and I got it via the PIF thread.

A Blue Silhouette Set...

This is for this weeks challenge over at Our Creative Corner. The challenge was to make a card using silhouettes. I have not had time to play along in awhile but I told myself as long as I made the challenge into a Christmas gift I could play. So I made a little note card set. I used my Pocket Silhouettes set from Stampin' Up, Stampin' Up card stock and some Bazzil Card stock and K&Co. DP, Bordering Blue ink and clear embossing powder. All the cards are sewn on a machine.
Thanks for looking,
have a great day!

Eat Ham!!!

I decided to continue on last night and make more cards instead of working on a Christmas project. I made 5 more cards for a total of 13 yesterday which I think is a record for me. I needed 15 Thanksgiving cards and I had 2 already made. I used this cute Tim Turkey Image I got via PIF... The little tag says "Eat Ham".
Have a great day!

Check.....

I can check this off my list of things to do for the holidays... Actually I have only one other project I HAVE to get done and then on to the ones I want to get done. These 2 sets of cards are for my sister's in-laws. Her father-in-law makes rocking horses and gives them away and this past year he made Ava (DG) one. They always try to send rocking horse cards at Christmas time so I made them 2 sets of them as a surprise.

I like the second set better than the first, I hope they like them. This second set has no glue on the front, all the panels are sewn on with a machine, then the green panel is glued to the red panel so you don't see and stitching. I still have to complete the inside of the second set and they will be off in the mail this week.

Happy Hello

This little card is for today's sketch challenge and I thought I 'd make a bright and cheery card! I used one of my Elzybell stamps which hardly ever get used. I did paper piecing on her dress and used a lot of piercing on this card, happy with the way it turned out. I hope you are having a good week.
Be Blessed,
Stephanie
