This is for this weeks high hopes challenge to use something fuzzy on your card. My flowers are felt and kinda fuzzy... hope that qualifies...

Happy Birthday Madison!!

The little girl I watch will be turning 3 this weekend so I needed a special card for her. I love how this turned out, I had to add sparkle to the wand and wings, what little girl doesn't like sparkle?? I wish my High Hopes order would get here.... I am also waiting on my SU' order...Maybe tomorrow.

It's a beautiful day here today going to be in the 70's, Madison and I will be off for a long walk shortly! I did this card for today's sketch over at Friday Sketcher's . I have had this card combining these 2 images for the longest time and thought today was the right time to use it. I don't know if it turned out quiet like I saw it in my mind. I hope you all have a great weekend, it is going to rain all weekend here with the possibility of snow showers on Sunday night...

Whimsy Stamps DT Call!!!

I saw over at SCS that Whimsy Stamps has a design team call out so I had to go check out their site first, OMGoodness what sweet sweet stamps they have!! I decided to give it a shot, why not right? I don't have any Whimsy stamps yet so I had to decide what one to use and it had to be an animal so I decided on Leo the lion from High Hopes, I think he is adorable. The inside of this card says "Have a Roarin' Good Birthday!" The Design Team Call is open until March 1st and you can see the details here. Good luck to you if you give it a try yourself!

Blue and Brown.. That is this weeks challenge over at ABC-Challenge. I pulled out this cute guy from High Hopes, I just think he is so cute. I believe the name of the stamp is "Sunday Best". I know it's late in the day but better late than never. I didn't think I would get to this challenge today but DH had to take some out of town people out to dinner for work so I had extra time to play. Hope you had a good day, it was rainy all day today!

Plain Jane!!

This is for today's challenge to stretch yourself and do 2 things different. I made a plain card (white) and scored around the image(love the look , not so good at it!) There is no sewing on this card but I still like it. Plain and simple is nice sometimes.

Wishing You Well!

Today's challenge over at SCS was to use fabric on your card so I went and dug into the quilt bin and pulled out a square of fabric and went with it... This is what I came up with. I hope you are having a great day, I woke up with a banging headache and stomach ache and then Madison came not feeling well and went to spend the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa. I feel a bit better now but I am going to go have a nap.

A Brown Skunk???

I was mailing out my Valentine's Day cards and was on my last one and the card just didn't "fit" the person I wanted to send it to so I decided to make a new one. I went to the Daily Dare Blog to see the dares for today and picked 2 that I have not done before. I chose the ABC challenge, today it was the letter A for Anniversary but they said they would take a Valentine's Day card and I also chose The Color Throwdown Challenge, the colors were Kiwi Kiss (I used old olive), Chocolate Chip, and Regal Rose. I love how this card turned out, I have had this High Hopes Stamp for quite sometime now and have never used it. I had to make the little skunk brown so that he would fit in with the colors, I just didn't think black would cut it.. Hope you are having a beautiful day, it is in the 70's here, after nap time I see a trip to the playground!

A note.. I noticed after posting this that there was a spelling error in the sentiment. It should say "I stink you're sweet" not "I sink you're sweet!" Running around like a chicken with my head cut off because it was already in the mail, I was able to fix it before the mail lady came...PHEWW!

I did this one in combination with the High Hopes Challenge this week... So the sketch is for TE and the use of hearts is for HH. I actually had a really hard time with this layout until I went and looked at the gallery and saw what the other girls had done.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Did you have a good weekend? We sure did, just basking in the idea of being grandparents again! Josiah is home and it was a good transition from hospital to home and Ava seems to being doing fine with having a new baby in the house! Today I needed a little inspiration to make a card and checked out the SCS challenge and was to lazy to try the mosaic challenge so I went to The Daily Dare Blog which is an excellent place to go if you are looking for a challenge or inspiration, the girls are doing a great job there keeping us up to date on the daily challenges out there... I found Cupcake Craft Challenges and decided to do their sketch challenge today.
